Does Diet Soda Make You Fat, or Does it Help Weight Loss?

We all know by now that soda (aka "pop" in some areas) is one of the most evil things you can put in your whole body... the nasty chemicals, the gut-fattening high fructose corn syrup, and a myriad of wellness issues caused by this carbonated cocktail worshipped by those that don't proper worry about their wellness or whole body.


fat burning foods?Since you're one of my readers, I know that you actually do proper worry about your wellness and the appearance of your whole body.

Surprisingly, many individuals falsely believe that "diet" soda is in some way a great factor for losing human extra fat.  Actually, I hear individuals all enough time proudly state that they "eat so healthier and only consume diet soda". 

So let's set the record straight...

There is NOTHING even slightly healthier about taking diet soda. Actually, I've even seen several research that showed dedicated diet soda drinkers got even FATTER than their frequent soda taking alternatives.

Here's some findings from an 8-year University of Texas research that I had read...

An excerpt from the research author:

"What didn't surprise us was that total soda use was linked to obese and obesity," Fowler tells WebMD. "What was surprising was when we looked at individuals only taking diet smooth beverages, their chance of obesity was even greater."  

"There was a 41 percent improve in chance of obesity for every can or bottle of diet soda a person takes in each day," Fowler says.

Ok, as if we didn't already know how bad frequent soda was for us, and now they're showing us research that diet soda makes us even fatter than the already bad stuff!

There's a lot of complicating factors as to why this occurs...

One purpose is that the glucose substitutes in diet sodas create a negative hormonal reaction in the whole body that improves fat storing hormone production and improves desires for more sweets and refined carbohydrates in enough period of time after taking the food consume.

I've been reading more research lately on the effects of glucose substitutes and one factor that appears clear is that it's not a wise decision to try to "fool" your whole body. Essentially you "fool" your whole body by taking something very lovely (sweetened with synthetic sweeteners), but you don't actually consume the glucose calorie consumption your whole body desires. Your whole body has difficulties knowing how to deal with that.

With glucose substitutes, your tastebuds "sense" that you consumed something very lovely, and even though you might not have consumed glucose, your whole body follows with an blood insulin reaction.  As you know, greater levels of blood insulin can improve desires as well as triggering your whole body to deposit human extra fat.  This is not to say it's any better to consume a sugar-sweetened soda which has it's own host of issues.

Another purpose for excess weight from taking diet beverages is that individuals may subconsciously think that because they are taking a losing weight program soda, that gives them more leeway to eat more of everything else, hence taking more calorie consumption overall.

The cause for excess weight from diet beverages may actually be some combination of both of those explanations above.

I've said this all along, but the main point here is that if you're serious about your wellness and whole body, soda of any kind (and glucose substitutes in anything for that matter!) should be avoided at all times, except for very rare occasions when you can't avoid them.
